“Mambo Sun”  T-Rex

This song was previously a fixture in the “Let’s Make Out or Something” playlist, until an ex-lady said it was too “boppy” and she liked to listen to it while walking around the city. I removed it from LMOOS immediately, as the goal of the LMOOS playlist is i) to establish a mood that is conducive to making out without appearing too obvious and/or corny; and ii) to include songs of a similar, calming tempo in order to create an environment of relaxation and possibly bad decision-making because, hey, this music is terrific and nice. Translation: we have no place for “boppy” in LMOOS.  

I mean, I could see this one being somewhat boppy, sure, but I thought it was a damn sexy little number. And since I’m personally/physically/genitally not bringing much damn sexy in the bedroom, it has to come from the music. 

Alas, still a great number, especially on those cool summer Sunday nights when you’ve just taken a Xanax and are going to watch “I Survived” (because you couldn’t care less about the NBA) before passing out.
